Repository Sale — County-held properties available by written bid — no public auction

Repository properties are parcels the county acquired after failing to sell at a prior Upset or Judicial Tax Sale. Schuylkill County’s Tax Claim Bureau holds title and accepts written purchase offers at any time. There is no set auction date — bids are reviewed on an ongoing basis.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE
  1. Review properties in this list and identify parcels of interest.
  2. Contact the Schuylkill County Tax Claim Bureau to confirm availability and obtain the current minimum bid amount.
  3. Submit a written bid (and required deposit) directly to the Tax Claim Bureau.
  4. The Bureau reviews bids and notifies you of acceptance or rejection. Competing higher bids may be solicited.
  5. Upon acceptance, complete payment and receive a County Deed at settlement.
KEY LINKS
Title is conveyed by County Deed — not a standard deed. A title search is strongly recommended. Some municipal liens (water, sewer, code violations) may survive the sale. Confirm with the Bureau what encumbrances, if any, remain.
School District Minimum Bid Policy — Minimums vary by district and property type. Policy states that bids below these thresholds will not be accepted.
